Historic pub bought by villagers prepares for grand opening IT’S all hands to the pump as volunteers work tirelessly to get their much-loved pub back to its best ready for its grand opening in June. The Drovers Inn in Gussage All Saints was finally saved from development last month after a 15 month battle by residents who were furious when the pub shut without warning in November 2014.

Pub verdict signals a rethink on asset rules in Sheffield Real ale campaigners have chalked up a victory in their efforts to prevent more Sheffield pubs from closing. Members of the Campaign for Real Ale have successfully applied to have the Three Tuns, on Silver Street Head in the city centre, listed as an ‘asset of community value’ by Sheffield Council.
